Study Visit to France: Bridging Science and Industry

Published 17-03-2025

Dr. Saša Radovanović, Director of the Institute for Medical Research, visited France from March 2 to 7 as part of the study visit “Research to Industry”, organized under the SAIGE project with the support of the French Embassy in Serbia. Alongside representatives from other Serbian biomedical institutions, he explored leading French research centers and gained insight into successful technology transfer models.

During the visit, the delegation was acquainted with the leading research and innovation centers in Lille, Paris, and Grenoble. In Lille, Serbian scientists met with representatives of the University of Lille, the Eurasanté biotech cluster, and the region’s innovation center. In Paris, they visited the National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (INRIA) and Paris Santé Campus, a key biomedical innovation hub. The program concluded in Grenoble with meetings at the University of Grenoble, the GEMELI research platform, and the MEDICALPS cluster, which brings together companies and institutions from the healthcare technology sector.

“We’ve had excellent working meetings with representatives of France’s leading biomedical institutions, which will help us further develop innovations and learn from their success stories,” said Dr. Saša Radovanović.

This study visit represents an important step in strengthening collaboration between Serbian and French research institutions, creating opportunities for new joint projects in biomedicine, biotechnology, and technology transfer.
