At the last scientific seminar, Dr. Snezana Tomanović presented to us the Project “Tailoring management of tick-borne diseases based on diversity of ticks and tick-borne pathogens” (TalkToTick), funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
We learned about the biological characteristics of ticks important for their parasitic and vector role, the economic importance of ticks, as well as the ecology and epidemiology of tick-borne diseases. Dr Tomanović explained the necessity of diagnosis, treatment and prevention based on the local ecological and epidemiological situation.
We enjoyed an exciting lecture and constructive discussion, and we are looking forward to attending the next Scientific Seminar at the Institute for Medical Research which will be held on July 12, 2024.
