CLIMOS – Climate monitoring and decision support framework for sand fly-borne diseases detection and mitigation with cost-benefit and climate-policy measures

Institute for Medical Research is a partner of the Horizon Europe Health RIA project titled CLIMOS – Climate monitoring and decision support framework for sand fly-borne diseases detection and mitigation with cost-benefit and climate-policy measures. The project is co-funded by the European Union, within HORIZON-HLTH-2021-ENVHLTH-02-03 call, and by the UK Research and Innovation. CLIMOS is part of the Climate and Health cluster of Horizon Europe projects.

 

Composed of 29 partners, this project brings together researchers, practitioners, health institutions, technology platform designers, and at-risk communities to conduct innovative and applied research seeking to be better prepared for current and future impacts of climate and environmental changes on human and animal health, using sand flies and the multiple sand fly-borne diseases (SFBDs) that they transmit as a model system.
