Through research focused on understanding the mechanisms of health and disease, and through the development of new models, methods, and solutions, the Institute contributes to the advancement of medicine, public health, and quality of life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mission<\/strong><br \/>\nThe mission of the Institute is to conduct fundamental and applied research in biomedical sciences, medical bioengineering, bioinformatics, and related disciplines. By bringing together experimental research, clinically relevant questions, advanced technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the Institute generates knowledge that can contribute to improved prevention, diagnosis, therapy, and a deeper understanding of complex biological processes. Through scientific research, the education of early-career researchers, and collaboration with academic, healthcare, industry, and community partners, the Institute strengthens the national research landscape and actively contributes to the international scientific community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Values<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Institute\u2019s work is grounded in scientific excellence, integrity, and responsibility to society. At the core of our approach are open collaboration, interdisciplinary thinking, and the continuous advancement of knowledge, guided by the understanding that biomedical research has its greatest impact when it contributes to a deeper understanding of health, disease, and quality of life. We foster scientific curiosity, innovation, and a culture of dialogue, while maintaining a responsible approach to data, ethics, early-career researchers, and society as a whole.
