The Institute for Medical Research, through its Centre of Research Excellence in Nutrition and Metabolism, is proud to join the prestigious European FutureFoodS partnership under the Horizon Europe program. This collaboration brings together 86 key stakeholders from 29 European countries, all working towards transforming food production and consumption systems into more sustainable and resilient models.
FutureFoodS stands as a powerful driver of positive change, focusing on creating circular food systems that restore biodiversity and address climate challenges. By collaborating with research institutions, universities, private companies, and policymakers, this initiative aims to foster the development of sustainable, healthy, and eco-friendly food practices from farm to fork in alignment with the European Green Deal.
Researchers at the Institute for Medical Research will take an active role in the Centre of Research Excellence in Nutrition and Metabolism’s initiatives by helping establish an Observatory to monitor the progress of the transition to sustainable food systems throughout Europe. This collaboration expands our network of partners and elevates the Institute’s research visibility on a global scale.
